Introduction to VPrograms

This program allows you to quickly and easily see a list of programs that are installed on your computer.

Originally VPrograms was written as a supplement to XP's "Add or Remove Programs" because it was so slow to populate the uninstall list using the official application. This was in contrast to Windows 2000 that had a very fast uninstaller.

The features within this program have been extended beyond the original purpose of simple speed. With this program you can now filter the list to find a program you're looking for faster. With this program you also have access to more information than Windows normally provides and you can sort by those additional fields. Another useful feature is that you can make a copy of the names of the installed applications for audits and such.

Instructions for General Usage

I designed this program so it is very simple to use. There are no dependencies so all you need is the single executable.

When the program is first started it will show an interface and it should quickly update the list with all currently installed applications. You can use the scrollbar to look through the list. If you would like to uninstall an application then you can click on an entry and click on "Uninstall". With some applications you can also use the "Modify" button to alter settings and plugins for that application.
