This service is required for using built-in dial-up modem support in Windows (including AOL), for some broadband providers, and for fax capabilities. It is also possible that this service could be used for voice over IP (VoIP) through your computer, and could include such programs as GameVoice, NetMeeting, etc.. It is suggested that you leave this service set to manual, but you could disable it if you do not use dial-up and you use broadband, especially if you use a router or do not have the ISP's software installed, and if you don't use VoIP through any program. |

"The clock of life is wound but once, and no man has the power to tell just when the hands will stop, at late or early hour. To lose one's wealth is sad indeed, to lose one's health is more, to lose one's soul is such a loss that no man can restore. The present only is our own, so live, love, toil with a will. Place no faith in tomorrow, for the clock may then be still." --Anonymous author
