Services Utility: Directory Replicator Service | Display Name (?): | Directory Replicator | | Short Name (?): | ? | | Executable (?): | ? | | Library (?): | ? | | Depends On (?): | ? | | Supports (?): | None. | | Description (?): | None. | | OS (?): | 2000 Server, Server 2003, Vista Server | | Startup (?): | | Default | Home | Workstation | Server | Minimal | Tweaked | Automatic | | Disabled | Disabled | Disabled | Automatic | Disabled | Disabled | Disabled | | Explanation (?): | The directory replicator service is used in mirroring files and directories from an export server to an import server for a normalized environment. This is especially useful in offloading the files from a heavily used system to subordinate systems. As this service requires an export and important server it means that you must have this service enabled on both the giving computer and the receiving computer. Also, this service requires an authorized account for performing the replication tasks. If you are not using this service it is recommended you uninstall this feature through the add/remove feature rather then simply disabling it. If disabled on both/either the export and/or the import server the feature will not function. |

"Man is the only animal that deals in that atrocity of atrocities, War. He is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out... and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel.... And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood off his hands and works for 'the universal brotherhood of man' - with his mouth". --Mark Twain
