Explanation (?):

The directory replicator service is used in mirroring files and directories from an export server to an import server for a normalized environment. This is especially useful in offloading the files from a heavily used system to subordinate systems. As this service requires an export and important server it means that you must have this service enabled on both the giving computer and the receiving computer. Also, this service requires an authorized account for performing the replication tasks. If you are not using this service it is recommended you uninstall this feature through the add/remove feature rather then simply disabling it. If disabled on both/either the export and/or the import server the feature will not function.

The first speech censored, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably." --Captain Jean Luc Picard (ST TNG, Drumhead)
