The TCP/IP print service service provides the ability to share printers through the line printer daemon (LPD) protocol. This protocol was designed for UNIX computers, but was included in Windows to make it compatible with the standard. If you want more information on this protocl then it can be referenced under RFC 1179. If you're using this service then leave it set to automatic, others uninstall it. |
