Explanation (?):

The NUI message receiver service is a component of Windows that will debut in the codenamed release of Longhorn. NUI stands for natural user interface, and represents a collection of API features for speech recognition, hand-writing recognition and intelligent computer adapation. The features of this service are aimed mainly at servers, but the ability to perform speech tasks on a Windows computer would be a step towards the future. The intention of this service is to receive commands from various programs, and to act as a monitor for user instructions through non-traditional means. These features are intended to be heavily interconnected with WinFS so that computers could be searched much more easily, such as on a science fiction television show. This service is not required for Longhorn and as such it could be disabled.

"Next the statesmen will invent cheap lies, putting the blame upon the nation that is attacked, and every man will be glad of those conscience-soothing falsities, and will diligently study them, and refuse to examine any refutations of them; and thus he will by and by convince himself that the war is just, and will thank God for the better sleep he enjoys after this process of grotesque self-deception." --Mark Twain, The Mysterious Stranger
