Vernalex.com: Games

The games listed below are games that I have found that are extremely enjoyable. Their requirements are that they are easy to learn, fun to play, have great replay value and work from most anywhere. So, all you need is a web browser and some free time. If you want any other games added then feel free to suggest one.

Desktop Tower DefenseDesktop Tower Defense

This is a very simple strategy game where you place different types of towers to create a maze for the bad guys. The bad guys come in many different forms and their task is to move from the left gate to the right gate and the top gate to the bottom gate. If too many of the bad guys make it to their opposite gate then you lose. It sounds simple but it takes a lot of strategy and good timing. Also, this game is very addictive.

The concept to this game is that there is a predefined maze for each level where the ball begins and where it must end. You have a fixed number of gadgets you can use to bounce and push the ball to get it where it needs to be. There are also a collection of ways to get bonus points in each level.

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both. And be one traveler, long I stood. And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair. And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay. In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: two roads diverged in a wood, and I -- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." -- Robert Frost: Road Not Taken (1962)
