Guides: Windows Setup Guide

This guide discusses methods on installing, setting up and maintaing a Windows XP machine. Areas that differ from Windows 2000 will be pointed out, but the focus is on XP. Following this guide you should be able to get your computer working efficiently and securely. I have tried to explain as much as possible where I think it is needed, but if there's any place that you feel I should ramble on more (or less) then please let me know. I am currently working on this guide, but I should be done in a few weeks.

The second step after loading Windows onto your computer should be to get the drivers installed so that you can use your computer as it should be. This part of the guide walks you through identifying devices that require drivers, finding those drivers and then finally installing them.
